Audience and Purpose:
This webpage is meant to enlighten pre-med students, medical students with a cardiology emphasis, and those with a personal interest in the history of valvular heart disease treatments. My particular goals in creating the website were to research these topics as a side project to the UWP 104E Research Review, and condense the knowledge I'd gathered for others interested in the same subject.

My particular goals in creating the website were to research these topics as a side project to the UWP 104E Research Review, and condense the knowledge I'd gathered for others interested in the same subject.
Many of the stylistic and language choices reflect the intended purposes of the project:
- The background was of particular importance, to engage and excite the reader, with both the colors and image choice.
- For me, the evolution of the language (i.e homograft, allograft and autograft) over treatment history was a particular issue in obtaining information. I believe others would also have this difficulty, so the page layout provides a format to distinguish between treatment options.
- I felt a website would be most appropriate for this project, as most of our generation rely near exclusively upon online resources. This would be the most effective way to reach out to my intended audiences.
